I desperately wanted to know more about him, to dig deep inside his head and unravel the mysteries that were far too deep for me to sense openly. This man was different than the rest, and the more he talked the more he intrigued me.

The walking began to take a toll on me, but I would not let him see me struggling. It was a hot day, and I kept wiping the sweat rolling down my face. It was rather odd but I didn’t want him to see me sweat. I didn’t know if he would find it disturbing, for he could be a creature entirely different than I.

“You felt it too, you said?” His voice said to me so sweetly.

I found it hard to focus on what we were even doing anymore…

“Oh, yes. I felt a strange sensation just like you. I assume it is a stranger who landed upon my territory not too far away now.”

“Why didn’t you go and see once you felt it?”

I bit my lip. I really had no desire to tell him that I felt scared of the unknown person that had landed within my abode. What if it was someone who I needed to fear?
Then again…what if this man was someone I had to fear as well?

I had no idea who this charming individual was and he could very well be here to harm me. Looking up to the sky now I could see the sparkling orange glisten. The sun was about to set and it made the sky look like melting lava. It was very fascinating to see.

“If I was to be honest with you, I would tell you that I was fearful of confronting a stranger that I knew nothing about.”

The man chuckled, “Well that is kind of what you did with me wasn’t it? You had no idea who I was but yet you acted so strongly towards me. Maybe this person is just like me? You never know.”

He flashed his seductive smile at me and my body quivered.

Ugh…why couldn’t he stop thrilling me?

“I guess you are right, but somehow I felt differently with you.”

I felt like it was wrong to say that, but it had already left my lips.

“Oh?” he started, “Why is that?”

“I am not quite sure, to be truthful. I just felt like I could trust you. That is not the case with this another person, however. I just did not feel comfortable with going to investigate by myself in case they were far superior in strength than I was.”

The man continued to walk, his physique looked so delicious under his clothes but I had to keep my mind focused on the task at hand. I would be true to say I had not felt a man’s touch in a long while, but I guess I would be guilty of wanting it from this man.

“What are you thinking? You are very strong, I can sense it. The other person is strong as well, but we don’t know his true potential. You could very well be able to take him down yourself, but I am glad you waited. This way, I could meet you.”

My cheeks burned, scorching my face. I wanted to turn away, to run away from him until they resumed their regular tint but I could not move, otherwise it would draw more attention to it.

“Uh, thank you, I’m glad I could meet you too. It’s nice to have someone to talk to. I get lonely sometimes, believe it or not.”

The man chuckled and we continued to walk, but I could not get my mind off him. What were we walking into? If this person was not a threat, was this man going to just leave me and forget that he had ever met me?

I wanted him to promise that he would stay with me, for us to get to know each other more than I ever thought possible. I never had a feeling like this before and it suffocated my mind. It was a revolting feeling, only because I felt empty when I thought about him leaving. I never wanted to rely on someone else, and now look at me.

“We are here,” he said in a whisper, he crouched down behind the cover of a rock, “I don’t see much yet, but he or she might be hiding from us. As much as we sensed them they might have sensed us as well.”

I nodded my head and crouched down as well, “I sense that they are still here, so it must be hiding from us.”

The man looked so attractive as he was focusing on the scene in front of him, “It’s so strange,” he started, “Did you notice what is in front of us?”

I turned my gaze back towards the front and saw a large black block that had landed deep into the sand. It was huge, but I had no idea what it could be.

“I have never seen something like this before… do you know what it is?”

The man shook his head, “I have never seen anything like this before. It seems like material from our own world, but I can’t pinpoint where it has come from or what it even is.”

I looked harder at the block, “Why would it be square? There are no windows or door, it just seems like it dropped from the sky.”

The man next to me seemed at a loss of words. His eyes were trailing back and forth, his fingers were tapping the rock in front of us ever so gently. I could feel his apprehension and even though I was so close to him, at the same time it felt like I was so far away.

“I think the best thing we can do is just stay here,” he took a deep breath, “I fear if we move they will be alerted to our presences, if they are not already informed.”
I felt trepidation crash over the area.

What if we were being watched and we were not doing the watching? All this time as we were looking in on this strange craft, they could be easily watching us from behind.

I slowly turned my head to look behind me and I froze. There were two individuals snickering at me, with these strange weapons in their hand. It looked like a gun but it glowed a strange aura of blue.

I reached over and tapped him on the shoulder and as the man turned around, he was met with the same scene as I was.

“Oh dear…” he said.

I nodded, “I think we walked straight into a trap, didn’t we?”

I could see his mind swim with anxiety; I could tell he was let down that he had allowed us both to be caught so easily, and without even sensing it. I felt horrible as well…
How could we not have seen this coming?

“Get up.” The woman in front of us said. Her gun was pointed straight at us and we got up reluctantly.

“What are you two doing here?” The man in front of us asked.

I was about to speak, but the man next to me spoke first, “We sensed a powerful aura coming from this place so we followed it. What has brought you here to our land? We have been here our whole lives, if anything; we should be asking you the same thing.”

I wanted to hush him instantly. What was he thinking? Why would he put himself out like that so confidently? Especially when there were two guns pointed at our heads?

The woman chuckled, “My, you are very confident aren’t you. We will have to change that, won’t we?”

I grew angry at her comment, “Don’t talk to him like that.”

I immediately regretted such a statement.

She had reached up and slammed the gun across my face and I fell to the floor, with my jaw aching. I could hear the man next to me get up but I held his leg still, “Don’t.” I said softly.

I rubbed my jaw and got up slowly, I had deserved that for what I said. I didn’t want this charming man to be punished for trying to protect me, over something I had done.

“You both are rather self-assured. That confidence is foolish of you two. You will regret speaking to us that way. We were going to let you go free with just a warning, but because you are so smitten with yourselves, that no longer applies to you both.”

The man reached out and grabbed my hand but he kept his gaze towards the strangers, “You can take me, but just let her go. I am the one you are seeking; she has no part of this.”

I turned towards him.

What was he doing?
