_{Ryo looked down at the tombstone and observed her fathers engraved name glistening in the sun. It still pained her to see the engraving as it brought forth the horrible truth that he was now gone.

Tears formed in Ryo’s eyes and she could feel her heart pumping blood quickly through her veins. Her eyes stung and her vision blurred as she remembered his sick, fragile body in the hospital bed. His skin was void of any color and he lacked the strength left to fight. She recalled him gasping for his last labored breath until his body finally collapsed, releasing his soul to enter the other world, a universe of pleasant memories and loved ones. This should comfort her but instead, it brought her more tears. Her legs began to tremble and grow weak and she grasped the tombstone to keep herself from falling. It was a cold hard truth that gastric cancer had taken her father and as she leaned down and softly rubbed the tombstone, she wished she had been taken, too.

She fell to the ground as her knees were unable to hold her weight for any longer. Her arms began to quiver as the recollections of her father flashed within her mind. They tormented her; plagued her mind and she yearned to be set free from them. What did she do to deserve such agony? She went to bed each night and awoke the next morning thinking of all the things she could have done differently. She remembered those times where she had yelled at her father and when she had ignored or infuriated him. If one wish could be granted in this moment of time, she would have wished to start over and be the amazing daughter she could have been. She longed to be happy again and to feel content. Ryo was tired, so very tired of hiding in the shadow of her own remorse.}
