Hikari watched as the body of water moved ever so slowly in front of her. The water was so beautiful; it was an element that was perfect to her. The way it looked, moved and even smelled was marvelous to her. If she could live anywhere in the world it would be on an island surrounded by water. This element gave so much to its people, a chance to grow and cultivate, a chance to start with a new beginning—everything that Hikari yearned for.
“Kari!” A voice rang.
She turned her attention towards a young female; “Yes?” she asked coldly, “What do you need?”
The younger female, who had yelled out at her stared at the bracelet that started to glimmer upon Kari’s wrist, “Oh,” she stuttered, “I just wanted to ask if you wanted to come in the water, the temperature is amazing!”
Kari tilted her head, hiding her now glowing bracelet, “I don’t have any desire. I have no intention to disrupt the liquid in its tranquility.” It wasn’t like she opposed being in the water, she adored the appraised liquid, she just had no intention on soiling her calming thoughts. The water held precious gems that her bracelet longed to acquire, that was why is sparkled so brilliantly.
Hikari controls the element of water, she could bend and twist it at will, the only trick was, she was the only person in this whole town that held such influence. That was also why everyone treated her differently, because she was diverse. Then again, she wouldn’t change her unique gift for the world, to her; this gift was a miracle of all blessings.
One day, she might tell her close friends, but for now it served as a reminder as to why she was so unique, it showed her just exactly how blessed she was to control an element that was so immaculate.

This was a beautiful piece. I felt like I was being let in on an intimate relationship that Hikari holds with the element of water. I love the wonderful descriptions of how she feels and the water. A short, but still impacting piece.
