“Oh my goodness he is so handsome, don’t you think, Maria?!” I screamed with delight.

The maid next to me patted my head, trying to tie the back of my dress within her hand.
“Princess, it would be looked down upon for you to act such a way. You should always be regal in both appearance and attitude.”

I puffed out my cheeks, pinning my face to the window as I watched him from below. His magic was so entertaining, his style was captivating and that face—oh boy was he just a looker.

“Princess, please try and stay still.”

I wanted to protest but I knew as soon as she helped me with this dress I would be free and able to go down to this man and watch his show up close.

Magic always intrigued me, and I watched as this man, for the last two years travel through here and perform his magic at my festival.

I was a princess, but that did not mean I didn’t wish to have fun. I raised my hands up to my long ears, stroking them with my fingers. They were so soft, and as my maid pushed my tail through the dress, I felt ready to get out there and meet him.

“Now Princess,” Maria spoke up again, “As a regal rabbit you should treat yourself and others with the utmost respect. Keep your emotions in check, but I do want you to have fun alright?”

She smiled which made my nerves lessen; it was nice that my parents were on vacation away from my home, so that I could truly have fun in this festival.

“I promise I will try my best to behave, Maria, can I please go and have fun now?”

Maria nodded, “Okay, I’ll be around the festival too, if you need me just look around, I’m sure I won’t be too far from you.”

I squealed in happiness and took off out of my room. Today was the day I could finally meet this man. All the years before my father had accompanied me, but now that he wasn’t here it was finally my time to strike.

I made my way down the hallway, along the stairs and towards the front door. As I wrapped my fingers around the doorknob I felt the excitement pulse within me.

Flinging the door open, my senses were hit with pure adrenaline.

It smelled of delicious cooking food, I could hear so much laughter, and I could taste the freshness of the air today.

It seemed like it was going to be a perfect day, an ideal time to finally meet the man that I had feelings for years now.

I crept along the booths, they all were cooking such amazing smelling treats and others who had such fun games that I desired to play.

Yet, I had something bigger on my mind first, and I wanted nothing more to do then to watch his magic act, and to finally talk to him.

I mean I was a princess, he had to talk to me, and he would want to talk, right?

“Princess! It’s lovely meeting you out here, how is your day going?”

I grumbled as I was already stopped by one of the townspeople, I know I am their princess, but today I wanted to make my way to this man without being stopped.

I turned my attention towards the direction of that magician, “Oh, I’m doing great, I’m actually in a rush, I want to see a show.”

The towns person smiled, “Oh I’m sorry princess, I didn’t mean to bother you, what show are you going to see?”

I turned towards her, “The magic show…”

The woman cooed, “Oh my gosh, with that handsome magician right? Oh gosh, all the girls fawn over him!”

My heart rippled with jealously, “Do they now? Does he reciprocate?”

The woman shook her head dejectedly, “Sadly, no. He has never shared any of our feelings. He is rather a hard shell to crack, even with all the girls fawning over him, he acts like he has no interest in them at all. It all leads us to wonder if he has a girl back home.”
I wondered the same thing...if this man truly was the boy of my dreams or if he had a person back home. That would ruin my whole dream, and now I yearned more than anything to find out if he was single or taken.

I did not even wait for her to finish, I walked closer to the man, hearing his show and the crowd of people cheering, I made my way to the back of the show, so that I was not seem by too many of the townspeople.

The act was as amazing as I had watched from afar all those years prior. He had a way about his act that tantalized the mind and made you truly wonder the fascinating magic’s that were within this world.

I watched as he grabbed a young child, and as he entered the stage, he smiled and told the whole audience to be quiet. As the crowd willingly complied he reached over towards the child and rubbed the side of his shoulder—almost instantly a bird emerged from the boys sleeve and into the air.

The crowd cheered loudly, erupting into an applaud of claps until the show came to an end.
This was my chance, and I was going to take it.

He exited the stage and as the crowd dispersed, I walked up to his large tent that was placed behind the stage.

“Hello?” I asked softly.

I slowly walked closer to the tent, knowing that he was inside, and that I was so close to meeting him made my heart flutter.

I reached for the fabric of the tent but as my fingers touched it a voice erupted from the side of me.

“Can I help you?”

My face turned red as I recognized his voice instantly, turning my head to the left I saw his charming body facing at me, “Oh-uh, I just wanted to say good show.”

The man tilted his head, “Oh? Well, I’m glad you enjoyed the show.”

He stared callously at me and at the end of his sentence he walked towards me and entered his tent, sealing it behind him so that I could not hope to enter.

I bit my lip; I had waited two years for this moment, only to have it last a mere ten seconds?

You really charmingly help me picture our bunny-princess, and how she seems like an impulsive little girl~~and your description of the magician is more than just cold--now he's mysterious, too--much cooler than just being cold!  If I was her I would be determined to find out more about this guy.... Very well-done!
